Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Barry McCray started the match with the kick off. Chris Nygaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Lew Yashin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Keld Paulsen made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Ortle Sancho sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barry McCray in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Keld Paulsen saved Denmark from getting behind. The supporters of Modlau booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Steen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barry McCray, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 21st minute, Ortle Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Barry McCray came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Barry McCray put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Keld Paulsen. After 43 minutes, Damazy Jucha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Modlau and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 43 played minutes Modlau got a freekick which was hit by Damazy Jucha. In the 45th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Bendtsen to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the game, Bjarne Kirkegaard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Denmark's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Modlau the free kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chris Nygaard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Ostap Geilarov in the 52nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Denmark's Simon Bendtsen. Keld Paulsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barry McCray's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. 61 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Barry McCray came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Modlau's Barry McCray nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Keld Paulsen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barry McCray in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keld Paulsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 66th minute, Barry McCray left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Modlau fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. The audience was convinced that Ortle Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keld Paulsen was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Lars Steen hit a great ball. In the 74th minute of the match Artur Adamski shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Keld Paulsen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 77 minutes, Barry McCray made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Denmark's Keld Paulsen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 79th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Ludvigsen to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the game, Barry McCray cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal and Damazy Jucha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute Barry McCray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barry McCray in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Modlau fans cheered their team off the field, for while Denmark had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
