When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Fortunato Schumacher put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Keld Paulsen. In the 25th minute Denmark were awarded a corner. Chris Nygaard went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Chris Nygaard got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Décio Garcia quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Décio Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Curt Groß was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kellerbräu FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Fortunato Schumacher made the kick off in the second half. Décio Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
