An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Moreira in the 10th minute of play forced River CBBA's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilson Amorim made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Juan Funes sent off a good shot on target. 16 minutes into the game, River CBBA's Juan Funes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. River CBBA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Pimentel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Portugal's Bruno Bastos quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Arano Abendano, made in the 95th minute of the game. After 96 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Bastos. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
