Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro-Gabriel Martinez in the 4th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vic Angelsø got free with Arnout Reekers in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vic Angelsø might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnout Reekers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vic Angelsø ran back to his position shaking his head. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 28th minute of play forced FC Chorchoj's goalkeeper Zheng Jian Yi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emilio Vedillo got free with Arnout Reekers in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vic Angelsø in the 42nd minute of the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zheng Jian Yi having to make a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 53rd minute Lautaro-Gabriel Martinez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lino Policarpio kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 61st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Zheng Jian Yi but with some difficulty. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vic Angelsø in the 76th minute of play. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Chorchoj's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Gijsbert ter Kruimer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Chorchoj's Zheng Jian Yi did a great save. Zheng Jian Yi made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. In the 86th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zheng Jian Yi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's late challenge caught a FC Chorchoj's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustaaf Groeneveldt helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The FC Chorchoj support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
