Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Frank Peletier started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Ruud Wollans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruud Wollans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remy Dupuy, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Maxime Durand stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luciano Alvarez's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luciano Alvarez in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maxime Durand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ruud Wollans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Peletier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maxime Durand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Alvarez in the 22nd minute of play. Lugano Futbol's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Blas Ursino in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Alvarez in the 30th minute of play forced France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 36 minutes France's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Blas Ursino who took care of the corner kick. David Barbier took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ruud Wollans. Lugano Futbol's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hermengildo Liberto. 46 minutes into the game, Blas Ursino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lugano Futbol's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave France the free kick. Blas Ursino hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute Frank Peletier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruud Wollans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luciano Alvarez was the one to do the kick off. Igor Ralondo's late challenge caught a France's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Igor Ralondo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of France booed when Lugano Futbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Ralondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute, Luciano Chico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Lugano Futbol's Luciano Alvarez in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye France's goalie prevented a goal. If Robert Chapuis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lugano Futbol's Ruud Wollans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Lugano Futbol from getting a goal against them. Ruud Wollans yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After 74 played minutes France got a freekick which was hit by Frank Peletier. When Lugano Futbol's Luciano Alvarez in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in Lugano Futbol's zone, Robert Chapuis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruud Wollans came out of the goal and Robert Chapuis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th match minute, Lugano Futbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Valerio to maneuver through the defense. Remy Dupuy charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remy Dupuy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to France getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Remy Dupuy hit a great ball. Luciano Alvarez took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maxime Durand. Maxime Durand dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Lugano Futbol's Luciano Alvarez got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lugano Futbol's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
