Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. A collision led to REAL MADRID FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Apostolis Tsangaris hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute, Ikarios Katsiavrias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andrés Maroto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Denmark booed when REAL MADRID FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ikarios Katsiavrias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Billy Jacquemet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chris Nygaard's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mattias Löfdahl to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mattias Löfdahl in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keld Paulsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 58 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Mattias Löfdahl came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denmark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chris Nygaard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 84th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Nygaard to maneuver through the defense. Aigimios Fotopoulos scored 1-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Keld Paulsen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mattias Löfdahl blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Keld Paulsen having to make a save. When the referee ended the match the REAL MADRID FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
