The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 刘洋朗's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 3rdth minute, Arnout Reekers skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 刘洋朗 did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Arnout Reekers 3 minutes into the match. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Madruga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Madruga, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 12th minute. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Lars Meesters advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-1 in the 12th minute. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Exército Português defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Petruț Dicu. The Exército Português fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Petruț Dicu should have stopped the shot. 34 minutes into the game, one of Exército Português:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gergely Balázs in the 37th minute of play. After 39 minutes Netherlands's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was 倪源真 who took care of the corner kick. Exército Português's Petruț Dicu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 44th minute of play. Veríssimo Guerreiro kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Exército Português's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Gijsbert ter Kruimer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Petruț Dicu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-4.

Petruț Dicu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 70th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Severino Madruga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnout Reekers was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. 刘洋朗 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnout Reekers having to make a save. 72 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when 刘洋朗 came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petruț Dicu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 85 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when 刘洋朗 came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Lars Meesters reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Petruț Dicu. The goal made the score 2-5. Exército Português's Bruno Soveral was substituted for Gergely Balázs. Exército Português's Ademar Borges was substituted for Veríssimo Guerreiro. After having played for 95 minutes, Severino Madruga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Exército Português's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severino Madruga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Netherlands had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
