But to his dismay, Frank Sachs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 19th minute, Adrian Dreifuss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When 魏雄挺 came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the 中国国家联合足球队 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 魏雄挺 couldn't finish the play. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 魏雄挺's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. 冯竞迅 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 33rd minute of the match. After 34 minutes, 马渊宁 made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Germany's Tommy Kahn tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 37 minutes into the game, 马渊宁 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 42 minutes into the game, 秦正骋 threw the ball into play from the sideline. Germany's Chris Mergenthaler quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After having played for 47 minutes, 魏雄挺 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 中国国家联合足球队's supporters crossed their fingers, but 魏雄挺 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 魏雄挺, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 魏雄挺 in the 57th minute of play. Benoît Bolot hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by 马渊宁 in the 60th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute of the match 中国国家联合足球队 got a corner. Germany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. 罗榕国 ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. In the 83rd minute, 秦正骋 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 魏雄挺 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. 中国国家联合足球队 fully deserved thier win.
