In the 20thth minute of the game Waldemar Rosen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ogro F.C.'s Alysson Rezende was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 22nd minute Jerônimo Vergílio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ni Guang Yong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dan Zimmermann blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ni Guang Yong having to make a save. Alysson Rezende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Rodríguez in the 26th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Miguel Rodríguez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. When Sebastião Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pinhote FC's protests and gave Sebastião Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Miguel Rodríguez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51stth minute of the game Igor Cavalera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pinhote FC's Ni Guang Yong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
