Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viriato Moura made a kick off. Qian Ying Lang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Moreira in the 53rd minute of play. If Aurel Corlățean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Portugal booed when LIVERPOOL FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kjell Kämpe didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Liviu Rada had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Liviu Rada was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. There was no doubt that LIVERPOOL FC were the better team. LIVERPOOL FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
