When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Merexildo Raimundo sped through Hungary's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fodor Daniel. With a little luck, Hungary's Fodor Daniel got control of the ball when Jorge Peredo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 22nd minute Merexildo Raimundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alekos Papaggelis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Jorge Peredo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fodor Daniel, 2-1. Balazs Lajos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alekos Papaggelis having to make a save. Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Merexildo Raimundo sent off a good shot on target. In the 40th minute GREEN LIONS were awarded a corner. Nikitas Galanos went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Merexildo Raimundo in the 44th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Peredo. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Antal Valentin made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Peredo in the 61st managed to get into a good position. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 88th minute of the match GREEN LIONS got a corner. Hungary's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nikitas Galanos ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on GREEN LIONS's corner Jorge Peredo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fodor Daniel quite easily take care of the ball. Jorge Peredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. If Katona Janos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, GREEN LIONS's Alekos Papaggelis got control of the ball when Major Barna tried to sneak it across the goal line. Many of Hungary's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Hungary may have spent more time on the ball, but GREEN LIONS were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
