The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ludis Vaicātājs during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SK Annenieki's Ludis Vaicātājs got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 7th minute. Jānis Lielais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 9th minute of play. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Jānis Lielais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jāzeps Pics. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hungary's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Reinholds Jaunzems was slow to take the kick. During this time SK Annenieki's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Reinholds Jaunzems almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel did a great save. 20 minutes into the match, Major Barna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jānis Lielais. SK Annenieki's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Major Barna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Major Barna sped through SK Annenieki's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jānis Lielais. Jānis Lielais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 26th minute of the match. After some careless play in the SK Annenieki defense, Balazs Lajos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jānis Lielais. The SK Annenieki fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jānis Lielais should have stopped the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Artūrs Sagalats came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, SK Annenieki's Fodor Daniel threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Indris Tomass, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 37 minutes into the match, SK Annenieki's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Jānis Lielais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jāzeps Pics could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Fodor Daniel made a huge save. SK Annenieki's Jānis Lielais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 40th minute of play. SK Annenieki's Ludis Vaicātājs got his second yellow card of the match in the 42nd minute. The referee ordered Ludis Vaicātājs off the ground. A collision led to SK Annenieki getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Ludis Vaicātājs hit a great ball. After some careless play in the SK Annenieki defense, Major Barna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jānis Lielais. The SK Annenieki fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jānis Lielais should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

55 minutes into the match, SK Annenieki's goalkeeper Jānis Lielais had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Major Barna. After 55 played minutes Major Barna rounded SK Annenieki's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-5. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Jānis Lielais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Takacs Tibor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Hungary booed when SK Annenieki was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reinholds Jaunzems didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artūrs Sagalats in the 66th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jānis Lielais made an important save on a dangerous shot by Major Barna in the 68th minute. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hegedus Henrik struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Jānis Lielais didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Jānis Lielais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artūrs Sagalats recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hegedus Henrik in the 80th minute of play forced SK Annenieki's goalkeeper Jānis Lielais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 82 minutes, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antal Valentin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Artūrs Sagalats got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artūrs Sagalats, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute Takacs Tibor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jānis Lielais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Santis Krūzītis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in SK Annenieki's zone, Antal Valentin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jānis Lielais came out of the goal and Antal Valentin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hungary's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
