Frank Sachs made the kick off and thus started the match. 6 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Artūrs Sagalats came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artūrs Sagalats did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Tommy Kahn 8 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jānis Lielais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artūrs Sagalats's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Tommy Kahn skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 31st minute, Janik Vogt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Drosmis Kalnaiza took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tommy Kahn. Germany's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 73rd minute, Artūrs Sagalats got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SK Annenieki's Vilis Lettlands was substituted for Indris Tomass. SK Annenieki made a substitution. Santis Krūzītis replaced Renāts Skipors. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artūrs Sagalats, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artūrs Sagalats in the 80th minute of the match. Albin Holweck charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albin Holweck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 84 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by SK Annenieki's Artūrs Sagalats. But to his dismay, Artūrs Sagalats quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artūrs Sagalats in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artūrs Sagalats in the 90th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artūrs Sagalats, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart.
