Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rigan Frankson in the 5th minute. In the 7th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Mergenthaler to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to 1948 MKS getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Beagan Colwell hit a great ball. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Rigan Frankson sent off a good shot on target. After 15 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Chris Mergenthaler. Rigan Frankson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albin Holweck in the 18th minute of play forced 1948 MKS's goalkeeper Ter Stegen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frank Sachs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ter Stegen having to make a save. Rigan Frankson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tommy Kahn came out and tried to block the shot, but Rigan Frankson slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 26th minute. A hard shot 29 in the game by Rigan Frankson from a close distance when the talented Tommy Kahn managed to make a qualified save. Germany's players were relieved. In the 40th minute, Robert Matthews hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Rigan Frankson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tommy Kahn. That made the score 3-0 in the 42 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Sachs was the one to do the kick off. After 58 played minutes 1948 MKS got a freekick which was hit by Robert Matthews. A nice corner shot did that Ersin Uyguralp got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tommy Kahn quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 1948 MKS made a substitution. Torrey Molloy replaced Rigan Frankson. Rudy Lukas made in the 69th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Torrey Molloy immediately put the ball in play. Chris Mergenthaler kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Torrey Molloy notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Germany's Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Torrey Molloy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. 78 minutes into the match, Torrey Molloy notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Germany's Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torrey Molloy in the 82nd minute of play. After 86 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. If Rolan McLian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Germany's Frank Sachs got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The 1948 MKS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Germany had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
