That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. Carlos Germano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Percy Paterson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pius Gruenenfelder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Germano having to interfere. 9 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Atlanta's Marcos Berdoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andreas Furcas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. A collision led to Fire Devils getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Leander Uliassi hit a great ball. In the 13th minute, Marcos Berdoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcos Berdoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leander Uliassi hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute, Rosendo Cutberto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atlético Atlanta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Percy Paterson kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcos Berdoi in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andreas Furcas saved Fire Devils from getting behind. Marcos Berdoi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Andreas Furcas came out and tried to block the shot, but Marcos Berdoi slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 22nd minute. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Marcos Berdoi put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Andreas Furcas. Club Atlético Atlanta's Rosendo Cutberto got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 30 minutes, Marcos Berdoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atlético Atlanta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Berdoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andreas Furcas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcos Berdoi's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Marcos Berdoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rosendo Cutberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Andreas Furcas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Fire Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Rosendo Cutberto came free, but Andreas Furcas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Remigio Erramu.

After 51st play minutes Marcos Berdoi shot 6-0, a short shot which went by Andreas Furcas and just under the crossbar into goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Rosendo Cutberto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Atlanta's supporters rose to their feet, but Rosendo Cutberto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andreas Furcas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 55th minute, Marcos Berdoi made a precise shot to the right of Andreas Furcas. Fire Devils's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. If Rosendo Cutberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Berdoi in the 60th minute of play forced Fire Devils's goalkeeper Andreas Furcas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Percy Paterson in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Germano saved Club Atlético Atlanta from getting behind. After 71 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Remigio Erramu. After 72 played minutes, Fire Devils's Ueli Siegenthaler shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carlos Germano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fire Devils reached it. Eustaquio Jaizki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Furcas having to interfere. Fire Devils's Andreas Furcas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Berdoi in the 78th minute of play. After 78 minutes, Leander Uliassi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fire Devils and the Club Atlético Atlanta players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Fire Devils booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remigio Erramu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Fire Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Rosendo Cutberto came free, but Andreas Furcas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
