Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Tomas Gartzen started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Borubar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Borubar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Tomas Gartzen took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Arnout Reekers to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 27th minute of the game. One of FC Zhelezna:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Netherlands:s goal. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Borubar having to interfere. Artur Borubar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to FC Zhelezna getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Radko Tetikov hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Artur Borubar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Netherlands's Lars Meesters got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. A hard shot 51 in the game by Wim Wilmes from a close distance when the talented Artur Borubar managed to make a qualified save. FC Zhelezna's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Wim Wilmes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Artur Borubar. That made the score 1-2 after 52 minutes of play. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Artur Borubar. That made the score 1-3 in the 61 minute of play. Netherlands's Wim Wilmes got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Zhelezna made a substitution. Niko Kranjčar replaced Glauco Cruz. FC Zhelezna's attentive Leandro Soares managed to snatch the ball when Gust Ennemans made a throw-in in the 69th minute of the game. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Garaile in the 70th minute of play. Wim Wilmes might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Artur Borubar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wim Wilmes ran back to his position shaking his head. FC Zhelezna's Artur Borubar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 79th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Gust Ennemans hit a great ball. Gust Ennemans kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Garaile in the 92nd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
