Czech Republic's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave XMAS the free kick. A collision led to Czech Republic getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Denis Dostal hit a great ball. Daniel Vitek hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Czech Republic's Valdemar Turecek got a free kick in the 38th minute. Vavrinec Holub made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ennio De Nardis in the 40th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 48 minutes, Vavrinec Holub successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The XMAS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Czech Republic were winning 1-2.

To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vavrinec Holub made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Navarra in the 93rd minute of play.
