Emilio Nuno helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 5 minutes, Emilio Nuno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rio Gallegos Unidos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilio Nuno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 7th minute, Jacinto Maurer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Samuele Kunz put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Roman Iza. After 16 minutes, Paulino Mancio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rio Gallegos Unidos and the Switzerland players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paulino Mancio hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Roman Iza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuele Kunz, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 20th minute, Fridolin Neumeister hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute, Jonathan Balendin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emilio Nuno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hias Nüssli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Switzerland's zone, Emilio Nuno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hias Nüssli came out of the goal and Emilio Nuno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Rio Gallegos Unidos booed when Switzerland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo von Känel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Oscar Iyan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rio Gallegos Unidos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Iyan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute of the game Oscar Iyan made a throw-in which Paulino Mancio played forward. Emilio Nuno took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hias Nüssli. Hias Nüssli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Fridolin Neumeister charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fridolin Neumeister the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Rio Gallegos Unidos booed when Switzerland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fridolin Neumeister didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Oscar Iyan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Nuno in the 56th minute of play forced Switzerland's goalkeeper Hias Nüssli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the game, Rio Gallegos Unidos's Emilio Nuno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hias Nüssli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After a rather tough play, Rio Gallegos Unidos's Paulino Mancio got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After 68 played minutes Switzerland got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Maurer. 77 minutes into the match, Rio Gallegos Unidos's goalkeeper Roman Iza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacinto Maurer. With a little luck, Rio Gallegos Unidos's Roman Iza got control of the ball when Samuele Kunz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roman Iza was a little too slow when Samuele Kunz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 2-2. If Jacinto Maurer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hias Nüssli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emilio Nuno's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. A collision led to Switzerland getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Rodrigo von Känel hit a great ball. In the 92nd match minute, Switzerland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo von Känel to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Switzerland players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
