Carol Stinga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giorgos Neymar, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Di Xuan Zhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sanda Cutov in the 42nd minute of the match. Di Xuan Zhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasile Ciumak in the 44th minute of play. In the 47th match minute, ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tassos Poulakis to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After taking down the ball on Romania's corner Sanda Cutov fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Di Xuan Zhan quite easily take care of the ball. Di Xuan Zhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vasile Ciumak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Romania left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ.
