After 18 played minutes AC Guadalajara got a freekick which was hit by Montxo Aranzubia. Frank Peletier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Rafael Aguilo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Camille Baume left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The France fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. With a little luck, France's Maxime Durand got control of the ball when Victor Cabanela tried to sneak it across the goal line. Baiardo Pantoja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the game, Frank Peletier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Rafael Aguilo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. David Barbier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Rafael Aguilo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Frank Peletier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 47 minutes, Camille Baume managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. France's supporters crossed their fingers, but Camille Baume was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victor Cabanela to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, France's David Barbier got a free kick in the 53rd minute. France's Maxime Durand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Cabanela in the 54th minute of play. A collision led to France getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Robert Chapuis hit a great ball. After 57 played minutes France got a freekick which was hit by Robert Chapuis. In the 58th minute, one of France:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for France. In the 59th minute there was a penalty for AC Guadalajara. Paco Espinosa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Maxime Durand. 2-2. Rafael Aguilo made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Frank Peletier sent off a good shot on target. Lander Caminero kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Frank Peletier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Rafael Aguilo made a huge save. Mohamed Ben Aïssa kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Montxo Aranzubia hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After 77 played minutes AC Guadalajara got a freekick which was hit by Baiardo Pantoja. Frank Peletier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Peletier got free with Rafael Aguilo in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 86th match minute, AC Guadalajara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Montxo Aranzubia to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, AC Guadalajara's goalkeeper Rafael Aguilo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robert Chapuis. AC Guadalajara's Rafael Aguilo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camille Baume in the 89th minute of play. Camille Baume recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frank Peletier's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 93rdth minute, Rafael Aguilo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Paco Espinosa charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paco Espinosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th minute, Frank Peletier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. France played a much better game than AC Guadalajara and deserved their victory. The AC Guadalajara players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
