The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of France booed when C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saul Roman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maxime Durand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Almkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 51st minute, Saul Roman made a precise shot to the right of Maxime Durand. France's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Christian Almkvist put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Maxime Durand.
