Green Hell F.C.'s Fernando Prassov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 14th minute of play. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Christian Vieri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. In the 26th minute, Christian Vieri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Green Hell F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Fernando Prassov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felipe Barreto's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Fernando Prassov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Moreira in the 38th minute of play.

In the 53rd minute, Daniel Pimentel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fernando Prassov made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Felipe Barreto sent off a good shot on target. In the 55th minute Portugal were awarded a corner.
