In the 8th minute there was a penalty for FC Vaslui. Panait Agachi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Harald Bergman. 0-1. Harald Bergman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Avram Râznicu in the 11th minute of play. The supporters of FC Vaslui booed when Lone Oak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sture Smitt didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience cheered when Eric Galiceanu's long shot passed Harald Bergman's right side. It was 0-2, 13 minutes into the match. When Jerônimo de Sousa fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Vaslui's protests and gave Jerônimo de Sousa a yellow card for diving instead. 16 minutes into the game, one of FC Vaslui:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 17 minutes, Lone Oak's Boris Sjöberg got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Constantin Mudura. Lone Oak's Harald Bergman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionică Pancu in the 22nd minute of play. Harald Bergman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panait Agachi in the 26th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michiel Vleminx in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Harald Bergman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Harald Bergman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Avram Râznicu in the 31st minute of the match. Harald Bergman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Avram Râznicu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute Petre Rogozanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harald Bergman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harald Bergman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michiel Vleminx in the 34th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Lone Oak's goal looked a bit too open when Panait Agachi came free, but Harald Bergman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute Michiel Vleminx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harald Bergman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Lone Oak defense, Avram Râznicu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Harald Bergman. The Lone Oak fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Harald Bergman should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Lone Oak booed when FC Vaslui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codrin Nandriș didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

FC Vaslui's Franciszek Lerych was substituted for Michiel Vleminx. In the 56th match minute, Lone Oak was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquilino Jayvier to maneuver through the defense. Harald Bergman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Avram Râznicu, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Harald Bergman came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Vaslui's Avram Râznicu. But to his dismay, Avram Râznicu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Harald Bergman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Avram Râznicu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th match minute, Lone Oak was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alf Hermansson to maneuver through the defense. Lone Oak's Harald Bergman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Lone Oak from getting a goal against them. After 62 played minutes FC Vaslui got a freekick which was hit by Codrin Nandriș. Jerônimo de Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After 72 played minutes FC Vaslui got a freekick which was hit by Jerônimo de Sousa. 75 minutes into the match, FC Vaslui's goal looked a bit too open when Alf Hermansson came free, but Constantin Mudura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of FC Vaslui booed when Lone Oak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sture Smitt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 78 minutes, David Hård mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lone Oak and the FC Vaslui players grew even worse after the yellow card. 79 minutes into the game, Franciszek Lerych recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Harald Bergman. Franciszek Lerych showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Avram Râznicu in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harald Bergman saved Lone Oak from getting behind. Harald Bergman stood somewhat misplaced when Avram Râznicu came free in front of goal and shot 1-6 to the left of him in the 84 minute. Harald Bergman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Franciszek Lerych went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-7 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Franciszek Lerych took a quick shot and it went in 1-8 without a chance for Harald Bergman to make any attempt to save it. The audience was convinced that Avram Râznicu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Harald Bergman was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. FC Vaslui played a much better game than Lone Oak and deserved their victory. The Lone Oak players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
