Harald Bergman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Güvenç Semih in the 9th minute of the match. In the 14th match minute, Lone Oak was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fredrik Ekgren to maneuver through the defense. Lone Oak's David Hård quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ahmet Bedri Haseki, made in the 18th minute of the game. In the 19th minute, David Hård got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Güntekin Nabi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Harald Bergman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the game, Dursun Altunay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LOI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lone Oak the free kick. Dursun Altunay hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Yetkiner Yabgu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alf Hermansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 31 played minutes Lone Oak got a freekick which was hit by David Hård. In the 32nd minute, Ekber Sehrud got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute, Ahmet Necdet İlbeyi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Harald Bergman was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Mattias Pilblad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yetkiner Yabgu having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, LOI's Ahmet Necdet İlbeyi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Harald Bergman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ahmet Necdet İlbeyi struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Harald Bergman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LOI. Yetkiner Yabgu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alf Hermansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ahmet Necdet İlbeyi was the one to do the kick off. Yetkiner Yabgu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Otto Matsson's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Lone Oak's goalkeeper Harald Bergman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ahmet Necdet İlbeyi. Yetkiner Yabgu came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Lone Oak's Alf Hermansson. But to his dismay, Alf Hermansson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 58 minutes into the game, Alf Hermansson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Yetkiner Yabgu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 65 minutes into the match, Lone Oak's goalkeeper Harald Bergman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ahmet Necdet İlbeyi. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Necdet İlbeyi got free with Harald Bergman in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Hård in the 77th minute of play forced LOI's goalkeeper Yetkiner Yabgu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. LOI's Yetkiner Yabgu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Matsson in the 87th minute of play. After 89 played minutes LOI got a freekick which was hit by Güntekin Nabi. 90 minutes into the match, LOI's goal looked a bit too open when Alf Hermansson came free, but Yetkiner Yabgu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, LOI's goal looked a bit too open when Otto Matsson came free, but Yetkiner Yabgu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. LOI's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
