But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bilbo Bermudez couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Furtado Abuleta made a kick off. Jacobo Autran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jurand Jaraczeski in the 52nd minute of play. Bilbo Bermudez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Onyx's Zdzislaw Domarecki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Furtado Abuleta in the 57th minute of play. Constancio Echevarria got his second yellow card in the match during the 61st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Jacobo Autran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wojciech Barycz in the 87th minute of the match. In the 90th minute Jurand Jaraczeski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Autran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Furtado Abuleta could shoot a difficult shot in the 94th minute, which Zdzislaw Domarecki however easily saved by the left post. Spor Las Huevas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
