Michiel Vleminx started the match with the kick off. The supporters of FC Vaslui booed when Lone Oak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fredrik Ekgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lone Oak's Harald Bergman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Lone Oak from getting a goal against them. After 12 minutes of play, FC Vaslui's Panait Agachi made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Harald Bergman was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 18 minutes, Codrin Nandriș mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Vaslui and the Lone Oak players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 18 played minutes FC Vaslui got a freekick which was hit by Codrin Nandriș. When Lone Oak's Alf Hermansson in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Vaslui's goalie prevented a goal. After 20 minutes of play, FC Vaslui's Avram Râznicu made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Harald Bergman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lone Oak's attentive Lars-Erik Persson managed to snatch the ball when Petre Rogozanu made a throw-in in the 23rd minute of the game. In the 26th minute Michiel Vleminx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harald Bergman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harald Bergman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Avram Râznicu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, FC Vaslui's goal looked a bit too open when David Hård came free, but Constantin Mudura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, David Hård hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harald Bergman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Avram Râznicu in the 33rd minute of play. With a little luck, Lone Oak's Harald Bergman got control of the ball when Michiel Vleminx tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Michiel Vleminx sped through Lone Oak's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Harald Bergman. Harald Bergman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panait Agachi in the 43rd minute of the match. Alf Hermansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Michiel Vleminx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Alf Hermansson made the kick off in the second half. Otto Matsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Constantin Mudura having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Avram Râznicu in the 69th minute of play forced Lone Oak's goalkeeper Harald Bergman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Lone Oak getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Sture Smitt hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lone Oak's zone, Franciszek Lerych stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harald Bergman came out of the goal and Franciszek Lerych tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute, Pavel Stelea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Vaslui fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Ionică Pancu scored 7-0 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Harald Bergman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Vaslui walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
