Dan Kjellman took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vítor Baia. Vítor Baia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Vítor Baia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Kjellman in the 24th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Dan Kjellman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vítor Baia was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Dan Kjellman scored 5-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vítor Baia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dan Kjellman took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vítor Baia. Vítor Baia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Guido Vissenaeken made the kick off in the second half. Cobus Harding made in the 51st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Brugge United's Herbert Pietrowicz. Will Deman hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Dan Kjellman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Kjellman in the 54th minute of play forced Brugge United's goalkeeper Vítor Baia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dan Kjellman in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vítor Baia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Bal op het Dak's Iwan Valentijn was substituted for Aristides Gombal. FC Bal op het Dak made a substitution. Martijn August replaced Dan Kjellman. Brugge United's Arnauld Van Impe was substituted for Guido Vissenaeken. Vítor Baia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Brugge United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Bal op het Dak.
