Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Szombathely Squirrels's Tivadar Demeter started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tivadar Demeter in the 5th minute of play forced Rönnöfors FF's goalkeeper Magne Gunnarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led to Szombathely Squirrels's Tivadar Demeter getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tivadar Demeter in the 14th minute of play forced Rönnöfors FF's goalkeeper Magne Gunnarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Magne Gunnarsson came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Szombathely Squirrels's Tivadar Demeter. But to his dismay, Tivadar Demeter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 21 minutes into the game, Szombathely Squirrels's Tivadar Demeter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Magne Gunnarsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Rönnöfors FF's Magne Gunnarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amanda Almqvist in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rönnöfors FF's Morgan Björkdahl got a free kick in the 29th minute. Tivadar Demeter took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Magne Gunnarsson. Magne Gunnarsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Rönnöfors FF's Magne Gunnarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tivadar Demeter in the 37th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Tivadar Demeter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Szombathely Squirrels fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Per Stenberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edwin Ahlstedt hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Rönnöfors FF made a substitution. Torsten Åman replaced Arne Stor. The supporters of Szombathely Squirrels booed when Rönnöfors FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edwin Ahlstedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Szombathely Squirrels were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Henry Fagerberg made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Rönnöfors FF's Per Tunström got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After having played for 54 minutes, Tivadar Demeter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Szombathely Squirrels's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tivadar Demeter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rönnöfors FF's Magne Gunnarsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Rönnöfors FF from getting a goal against them. After 59 minutes Rönnöfors FF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bai Jun Chong who took care of the corner kick. Rönnöfors FF's Magne Gunnarsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Rönnöfors FF from getting a goal against them. In the 66th minute Szombathely Squirrels were awarded a corner. Bai Jun Chong went to the cornerflag to take it. 69 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's Lei Jian Xiong sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Magne Gunnarsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rönnöfors FF made a substitution. Sigvard Biörnberg replaced Olimpiu Mirciulescu. The audience was convinced that Per Tunström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnold Szuper was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Lei Jian Xiong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Magne Gunnarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lei Jian Xiong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Magne Gunnarsson made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Lei Jian Xiong sent off a good shot on target. In the 96th match minute, Rönnöfors FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Morgan Björkdahl to maneuver through the defense. The Szombathely Squirrels supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Szombathely Squirrels would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
