Rönnöfors FF's Ivar Häll quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Decathlon Dudes's Tadej Pogačar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Fagerberg in the 16th minute of play. Rönnöfors FF's Magne Gunnarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrik Larsson in the 19th minute of play. Magne Gunnarsson was a little too slow when Anthon Melin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 33rd minute Henrik Larsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magne Gunnarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henrik Larsson got free with Magne Gunnarsson in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 41 played minutes Decathlon Dudes got a freekick which was hit by Karsten Schoonderwoerd. After a rather tough play, Decathlon Dudes's Timo Venema got a free kick in the 42nd minute.

51 minutes into the match, Decathlon Dudes's goalkeeper Tadej Pogačar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Per Tunström. In the 51st minute, Rönnöfors FF's Per Tunström dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. If Henrik Larsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute Henrik Larsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magne Gunnarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Decathlon Dudes's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Fagerberg came free, but Tadej Pogačar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Rönnöfors FF defense, Henrik Larsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Magne Gunnarsson. The Rönnöfors FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Magne Gunnarsson should have stopped the shot. In the 66th minute Henrik Larsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magne Gunnarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Rönnöfors FF's goal looked a bit too open when Henrik Larsson came free, but Magne Gunnarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Magne Gunnarsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Marinus Doren might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Magne Gunnarsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marinus Doren ran back to his position shaking his head. Magne Gunnarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthon Melin, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute, Henry Fagerberg made a precise shot to the right of Tadej Pogačar. Decathlon Dudes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rönnöfors FF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Decathlon Dudes.
