If Tivadar Demeter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tivadar Demeter in the 4th minute of play forced AFC Koolkerke's goalkeeper Ulises Steven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Tivadar Demeter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Szombathely Squirrels fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Joseph Smits blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnold Szuper having to make a save. 庄剑响 kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Tivadar Demeter's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulises Steven was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tivadar Demeter in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ulises Steven prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ulises Steven came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Szombathely Squirrels's Tivadar Demeter. But to his dismay, Tivadar Demeter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Ulises Steven showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tivadar Demeter, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joseph Smits in the 34th minute of play forced Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Arnold Szuper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 played minutes Szombathely Squirrels got a freekick which was hit by Tivadar Demeter.

In the 51st minute, Tivadar Demeter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Szombathely Squirrels fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Szombathely Squirrels's attentive Tamás Szentesi managed to snatch the ball when 庄剑响 made a throw-in in the 54th minute of the game. In the 59th minute Tivadar Demeter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Steven saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tivadar Demeter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, AFC Koolkerke's Ulises Steven got control of the ball when Tivadar Demeter tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67th match minute, Szombathely Squirrels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tamás Szentesi to maneuver through the defense. Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joseph Smits in the 72nd minute of play. After 75 played minutes Szombathely Squirrels got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Aued. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind AFC Koolkerke's goalkeeper Ulises Steven, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of AFC Koolkerke booed when Szombathely Squirrels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tarmo Elken didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulises Steven made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lei Jian Xiong in the 87th minute of play. Arnold Szuper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joseph Smits in the 88th minute of play. After a rather tough play, AFC Koolkerke's Christer Sunde got a free kick in the 91st minute. If Lei Jian Xiong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Szombathely Squirrels supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Szombathely Squirrels would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
