When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Maximino Duronov put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Alexander Higgins. Felipo Manosalva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zac O'Donnell in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Maximino Duronov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Deportivo Diagüita's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Scotland the free kick. The supporters of Scotland booed when Club Deportivo Diagüita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximino Duronov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximino Duronov who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Alexander Higgins when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alexander Higgins came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Deportivo Diagüita's Odón Concha. But to his dismay, Odón Concha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

Alexander Higgins was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 73 minutes into the match, Maximino Duronov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexander Higgins. Scotland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximino Duronov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. After 76 minutes of play, Club Deportivo Diagüita's Maximino Duronov made it 11-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexander Higgins was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Fletcher Main had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alexander Higgins came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Deportivo Diagüita's Maximino Duronov. But to his dismay, Maximino Duronov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 12-0. Scotland's Alexander Higgins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Duronov in the 94th minute of play. Club Deportivo Diagüita walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
