Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Leonardo Melberg took the kick off in the first half of the match. Leonardo Melberg scored 1-0 in the 2nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arnout Reekers was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leonardo Melberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 8 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Ludwig Ström took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Arnout Reekers to make any attempt to save it. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Leeds United FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Gijsbert ter Kruimer got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 3-1. 19 minutes into the match. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Melberg in the 26th minute of play. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Leonardo Melberg sent off a good shot on target. Leonardo Melbergs short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Arnout Reekers to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 38 minutes into the match, Leeds United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Dan Lundström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Dan Lundström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Börje Lindsten came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 played minutes Leeds United FC got a freekick which was hit by Ludwig Ström. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Dan Lundström threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lars Meesters, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Dan Lundström made a huge save. The supporters of Leeds United FC booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathijn Doctor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Logan Flesfadar kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dan Lundström came out and tried to block the shot, but Wim Wilmes slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 68th minute. After 72 minutes of play, Leeds United FC's Leonardo Melberg made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! 74 minutes into the game, Gustaaf Groeneveldt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Netherlands's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leeds United FC the free kick. Wim Wilmes charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wim Wilmes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 87 played minutes Leeds United FC got a freekick which was hit by Ludwig Ström. 94 minutes into the match, Leeds United FC's goalkeeper Dan Lundström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt.
