Heinz-Gerd Bonin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Major Barna might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Heinz-Gerd Bonin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Major Barna ran back to his position shaking his head. Uwe-Jens Röttger struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Fodor Daniel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz. 17 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Matti Erkiner came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Heinz-Gerd Bonin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Uwe-Jens Röttger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fodor Daniel. Hungary's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Uwe-Jens Röttger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Uwe-Jens Röttger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. After 29 minutes Hungary's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ari Brantwein who took care of the corner kick. Timos Karabelas kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Heinz-Gerd Bonin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Bakos Endre hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Uwe-Jens Röttger in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. Fodor Daniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Uwe-Jens Röttger's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Bakos Endre's late challenge caught a 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bakos Endre helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th minute, Bakos Endre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute, Uwe-Jens Röttger fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ari Brantwein kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Uwe-Jens Röttger got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antal Valentin to strike the kick off in the second half. Heinz-Gerd Bonin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Major Barna showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 50 minute of play. Heinz-Gerd Bonin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Major Barna in the 54th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Hungary:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz:s goal. In the 59th minute there was a penalty for 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz. Matti Erkiner stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fodor Daniel. 2-2. In the 63rd minute Matti Erkiner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Matti Erkiner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Marcus Willmann was substituted for Uwe-Jens Röttger. In the 76th minute Marcus Willmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
