In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 24 minutes into the game, Zaccheo Andolina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Mustafa Arif Korcan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 27th minute Sigfrido Auletta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mustafa Arif Korcan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
