Serbia's Zvezdan Nedeljkovic proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Serbia from getting a goal against them. 5 minutes into the game, Tiago Ozuna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 9 minutes into the match, Serbia's goalkeeper Zvezdan Nedeljkovic had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiago Ozuna. If Rutenio Galdamiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the game, Club Atletico Nacional's Sever Rădescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. When Club Atletico Nacional's Tiago Ozuna in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Serbia's goalie prevented a goal. In the 25th minute, Chris Mahler made a precise shot to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Serbia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. A throw-in in the 30th minute of the game was made by Rutenio Galdamiz with Frutos Baltanas as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 34th minute, Club Atletico Nacional's Tiago Ozuna ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. In the 37th minute of the match, Tiago Ozuna tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sever Rădescu in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Ozuna in the 42nd minute of play forced Serbia's goalkeeper Zvezdan Nedeljkovic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Club Atletico Nacional's Tiago Ozuna nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sreten Popovic stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Serbia's goalkeeper Zvezdan Nedeljkovic, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Club Atletico Nacional's Chris Mahler got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atletico Nacional's Tiago Ozuna. But to his dismay, Tiago Ozuna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Tiago Ozuna might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiago Ozuna ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Serbia defense, Tiago Ozuna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. The Serbia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zvezdan Nedeljkovic should have stopped the shot. Club Atletico Nacional's Tiago Ozuna got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Serbia's Zvezdan Nedeljkovic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Mahler in the 77th minute of play. Vladeta Jovic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Gora Argandona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 80 minutes, Sreten Popovic managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Serbia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sreten Popovic was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jovan Borisov charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jovan Borisov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Club Atletico Nacional's Tiago Ozuna got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Sever Rădescu made a precise shot to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Serbia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-0. Aurre Prelo got a throw-in 95 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Chris Mahler. Club Atletico Nacional walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
