Areion Pezos charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Areion Pezos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 5 played minutes Le Cabaret got a freekick which was hit by Areion Pezos. Polybos Phocas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Habeler in the 10th minute of play. With a little luck, Austria's Fabio Auer got control of the ball when Kanake Papadis tried to sneak it across the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Le Cabaret's Kanake Papadis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabio Auer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Kanake Papadis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabio Auer was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After some careless play in the Austria defense, Kanake Papadis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabio Auer. The Austria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabio Auer should have stopped the shot. Austria's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sandro Galishoff in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute, Julian Habeler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Le Cabaret's zone, Fabio Schneider stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Polybos Phocas came out of the goal and Fabio Schneider tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th match minute, Le Cabaret was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aigyptos Papoutsis to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Austria's Fabio Auer got control of the ball when Kanake Papadis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fabio Auer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kanake Papadis in the 44th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sandro Galishoff was the one to do the kick off. Fabio Schneider received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Polybos Phocas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julian Habeler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the game, Kanake Papadis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Fabio Auer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kanake Papadis struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Fabio Auer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Le Cabaret. The supporters of Le Cabaret booed when Austria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Wallner didn't get a good kick on the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Le Cabaret's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Schneider came free, but Polybos Phocas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Austria's goal looked a bit too open when Kanake Papadis came free, but Fabio Auer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Austria's goal looked a bit too open when Timos Softhis came free, but Fabio Auer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
