Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sever Rădescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexander Higgins. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sever Rădescu ran back to his position shaking his head. The Club Atletico Nacional fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Club Atletico Nacional's Tiago Ozuna looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Sever Rădescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the game, Tiago Ozuna lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Alexander Higgins. Ashton Nelson's late challenge caught a Club Atletico Nacional's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiago Ozuna got free with Alexander Higgins in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 27 minutes into the game, Tiago Ozuna recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alexander Higgins. Tiago Ozuna showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiago Ozuna in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexander Higgins saved Scotland from getting behind. Rutenio Galdamiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robert McNeill kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Sever Rădescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Higgins having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Scotland's goalkeeper Alexander Higgins had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiago Ozuna. Sever Rădescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Chris Mahler struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Alexander Higgins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Nacional. Alexander Higgins made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Rutenio Galdamiz sent off a good shot on target. Club Atletico Nacional's Gora Argandona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fletcher Main in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zac O'Donnell was the one to do the kick off. Chris Mahler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Alexander Higgins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Tiago Ozuna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atletico Nacional fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. In the 75th minute of the match Chris Mahler shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexander Higgins showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 77thth minute of the game Tiago Ozuna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Scotland's Alexander Higgins was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alexander Higgins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rutenio Galdamiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 83 minutes of play Scotland's Ashton Nelson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 83rd match minute, Scotland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ashton Nelson to maneuver through the defense. Alexander Higgins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sever Rădescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. The audience was convinced that Tiago Ozuna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alexander Higgins was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Tiago Ozuna scored 8-0 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexander Higgins, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Club Atletico Nacional's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
