In the 3rd minute, Silviu Dumitrana made a precise shot to the right of Nichifor Nicolae. Emerald's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 6th match minute, Emerald was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trifon Ivanov to maneuver through the defense. After 8 played minutes Emerald got a freekick which was hit by Cosmin Enigărescu. Felix Leahu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cătălin Hăulică in the 11th minute. In the 11th minute, Emerald's Cătălin Hăulică dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Gabriel Vermeşan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Gabriel Vermeşan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Emerald's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Vermeşan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felix Leahu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emerald's Nichifor Nicolae played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Twan van Nistelrooij in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute Twan van Nistelrooij shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nichifor Nicolae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Emerald getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Matei Félix Júnior hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silviu Dumitrana in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nichifor Nicolae prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Silviu Dumitrana put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Nichifor Nicolae. Nichifor Nicolae took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silviu Dumitrana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, F.C. YKE's Twan van Nistelrooij sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nichifor Nicolae narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emerald's Nichifor Nicolae played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugur Ceaușescu in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gabriel Vermeşan to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, F.C. YKE's goal looked a bit too open when Pompiliu Uncheşelu came free, but Felix Leahu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silviu Dumitrana received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nichifor Nicolae came out and tried to block the shot, but Silviu Dumitrana slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 55th minute. Nichifor Nicolae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Twan van Nistelrooij in the 68th minute of play. Twan van Nistelrooij made a great header on F.C. YKE's corner, it was just that Emerald's Nichifor Nicolae managed to reach the ball for a save. With an all-out effort, F.C. YKE's Nichifor Nicolae threw himself towards the right post 73 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Traian Brăiloiu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Felix Leahu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrei Alexandrescu in the 74th minute of the match. In the 76th minute Silviu Dumitrana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nichifor Nicolae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Twan van Nistelrooijs short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Nichifor Nicolae to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 81 minutes into the match, Emerald's Pompiliu Uncheşelu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felix Leahu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 82nd minute Andrei Alexandrescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Leahu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Traian Brăiloiu in the 84th minute of play forced Emerald's goalkeeper Nichifor Nicolae to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, Traian Brăiloiu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C. YKE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Felix Leahu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Vermeşan in the 87th minute of play. If Pompiliu Uncheşelu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Silviu Dumitrana kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nichifor Nicolae. That made the score 1-5 in the 94 minute of play. Nichifor Nicolae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samet Ağar in the 98th minute of the match. F.C. YKE's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
