Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wu Qi in the 13th minute. Vince Di Cola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 14th minute of play. Tommy Kahn was a little too slow when Wu Qi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 22nd minute, Wu Qi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tommy Kahn. The goal made the score 3-0. Wu Qi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Kahn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Wu Qi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. Marcus Skytt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. After 38 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Chris Mergenthaler. When Samurai's Wu Qi in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Germany's goalie prevented a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Sachs was the one to do the kick off. Morgan Vassenius made in the 58th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Wu Qi immediately put the ball in play. 5-1 became the score in the 60th minute when Marcus Skytt elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 66th minute, Chris Mergenthaler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samurai's Timmy Henriksson was substituted for Marcus Skytt. Samurai's Terry Silver was substituted for Hernán Grana. Chris Mergenthaler kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esbjörn Hultstrand in the 72nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Samurai's Andres Gergori got a free kick in the 75th minute. Esbjörn Hultstrand struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Samurai. Vince Di Cola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albin Holweck in the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
