Carol Stinga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atabek Makbul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute, Atabek Makbul left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AYAZAĞA FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Carol Stinga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seyfettin Onursoy in the 15th minute of play. After 17 minutes AYAZAĞA FK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adam Olaru who took care of the corner kick. Adulfo Antunez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sanda Cutov in the 21st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leszek Kornasiewicz got free with Carol Stinga in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sanda Cutov in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adulfo Antunez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adulfo Antunez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sanda Cutov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sanda Cutov in the 34th minute of play forced AYAZAĞA FK's goalkeeper Adulfo Antunez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Muzafer Cannavaro kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. If Sanda Cutov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. AYAZAĞA FK's Adulfo Antunez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sanda Cutov in the 40th minute of play. Samy Froidefond received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Carol Stinga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romania's Rasvan Cristescu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Doğuhan Özluer in the 43 minute of the game. Adulfo Antunez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Olaru in the 44th minute of play. After 45 played minutes Romania got a freekick which was hit by Rasvan Cristescu.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adam Olaru made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Adam Olaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adulfo Antunez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alex Serban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adulfo Antunez having to interfere. Romania's Anton Stinga was substituted for Adam Olaru. Adulfo Antunez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Stinga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 62 minutes of play, Romania's Anton Stinga made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adulfo Antunez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Romania's Octavian Vaduva was substituted for Costica Vladimiri. Sanda Cutov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Romania's Alexandru Pangratiu was substituted for Alex Serban. AYAZAĞA FK's Adulfo Antunez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasile Ciumak in the 71st minute of play. Sanda Cutov might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adulfo Antunez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. AYAZAĞA FK's Adulfo Antunez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save AYAZAĞA FK from getting a goal against them. 79 minutes into the match, AYAZAĞA FK's goalkeeper Adulfo Antunez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sanda Cutov. The throw-in from Doğuhan Özluer in the 80th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Romania's Eugen Nita. With an all-out effort, Romania's Adulfo Antunez threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alexandru Pangratiu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Carol Stinga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Seyfettin Onursoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AYAZAĞA FK's Adulfo Antunez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save AYAZAĞA FK from getting a goal against them. In the 88th minute Romania were awarded a corner. Sanda Cutov went to the cornerflag to take it. Sanda Cutov took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adulfo Antunez. Adulfo Antunez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Doğuhan Özluer made in the 93rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Sezgin Aktemur. Romania's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
