Paulin Elguero's late challenge caught a Czech Republic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulin Elguero helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Gimnástico F.C. getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Paulin Elguero hit a great ball. If Erik Jilek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Rusil hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. During the 12th minute of the match Paulin Elguero completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Paulin Elguero a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Gimnástico F.C. getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Paulin Elguero hit a great ball. After 16 minutes, Svatopluk Capek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Czech Republic and the Gimnástico F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Svatopluk Capek. 18 minutes into the match, Alan Rezek notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Gimnástico F.C.'s Bekololari Idachaba. Bekololari Idachaba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Policarpio Marcos got free with Vavrinec Holub in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Czech Republic from getting a goal against them. In the 26th minute Denis Dostal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bekololari Idachaba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Alan Rezek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Bekololari Idachaba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 30 minutes of play, Czech Republic's Denis Dostal made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bekololari Idachaba was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alan Rezek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bekololari Idachaba having to interfere. Vavrinec Holub made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Policarpio Marcos in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Czech Republic's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Donatello Climent was slow to take the kick. During this time Gimnástico F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Choice Chopart's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vavrinec Holub read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. When Kvetoslav Janku fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Czech Republic's protests and gave Kvetoslav Janku a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Kvetoslav Janku hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Choice Chopart to make the kick off. After 62 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Svatopluk Capek. A collision led to Gimnástico F.C. getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Cloyo Alcaraz hit a great ball. After 74 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Kvetoslav Janku. Vavrinec Holub showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Policarpio Marcos, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After 82 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Bohumir Kohout. Policarpio Marcos took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vavrinec Holub. Vavrinec Holub dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 89th minute of the match Erik Jilek shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bekololari Idachaba showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Kevin Cabrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
