After having played for 25 minutes, Jonas Nalder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gică Cernea came out of the goal and Fabio Schneider tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th minute, Leonhard Maier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gică Cernea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Galishoff in the 37th minute of play. Iulian Agrigoroaiei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Fabio Auer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Vasile Şania's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabio Auer was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Fabio Schneider fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gică Cernea having to interfere.
