Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mathijs Grommers started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Belgium booed when Winthont FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sander Schaars didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edward Vanderstraeten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dennis Beerthuis having to make a save. Winthont FC's Dennis Beerthuis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of Winthont FC booed when Belgium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillaume Bonte didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Beerthuis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Pascal Zalm came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Winthont FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pascal Zalm couldn't finish the play. 22 minutes into the match, Winthont FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Dennis Beerthuis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Belgium's Casper Claes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Belgium from getting a goal against them. Dennis Beerthuis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Winthont FC's goalkeeper Dennis Beerthuis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With his leg Casper Claes managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Winthont FC's Pascal Zalm fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Edward Vanderstraeten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dennis Beerthuis having to make a save. Casper Claes came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Winthont FC's Pascal Zalm. But to his dismay, Pascal Zalm quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Werner Hoving made in the 36th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Belgium's Sander Dermaut. 37 minutes into the game, Guillaume Bonte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Belgium's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Winthont FC the free kick. 41 minutes into the match, Winthont FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Dennis Beerthuis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Edward Vanderstraeten in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dennis Beerthuis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Winthont FC's goalkeeper Dennis Beerthuis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Winthont FC's Dennis Beerthuis got control of the ball when Edward Vanderstraeten tried to sneak it across the goal line. Winthont FC made a substitution. Hermengildo Nesor replaced Pascal Zalm. Winthont FC's Marc van Nistelrooij was substituted for Mathijs Grommers. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermengildo Nesor in the 69th minute of the match. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Dennis Beerthuis made a huge save. In the 74th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermengildo Nesor in the 77th minute of the match. Dennis Beerthuis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermengildo Nesor in the 80th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dennis Beerthuis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 83rd minute of the match, Edward Vanderstraeten got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dennis Beerthuis was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Igor Fujara kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Dennis Beerthuis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 91st minute. 96 minutes into the game, Igor Fujara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
