After 16 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Chris Mergenthaler. After having played for 17 minutes, Lorenz De Paula managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sitges's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lorenz De Paula was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Sachs in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rubén Urruti prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Øyvind Rovik made in the 28th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Mauricio Salazar however managed to control. Nabucodonosor Llorente got a throw-in 30 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Øyvind Rovik. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sitges's goalkeeper Rubén Urruti, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 40 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Charidimos Papandreou came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Germany booed when Sitges was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nabucodonosor Llorente didn't get a good kick on the ball. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenz De Paula in the 88th minute of play. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenz De Paula in the 94th minute of the match. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenz De Paula in the 96th minute of play. There was no doubt that Sitges were the better team. Sitges's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
