Siro Benvido might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnout Reekers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Siro Benvido ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Siro Benvido tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 47 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Mathijn Doctor. The supporters of Gnaget United FC booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egbert Nijveldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Okaner Dilşad might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnout Reekers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Okaner Dilşad ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Gnaget United FC's Nils-Erik Källberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Gnaget United FC from getting a goal against them. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siro Benvido, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute.
