Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Spain's Omar Toledo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Spain's zone, Zé Pedro Montana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Ascaso came out of the goal and Zé Pedro Montana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adria Bielsa in the 8th minute of the match. Spain's Gabriel Ascaso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Pedro Montana in the 12th minute of play. Łukasz Zwolinski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind FFC Merainies 03's goalkeeper Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 18 minutes FFC Merainies 03's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Omar Toledo who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Spain's corner Omar Toledo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu quite easily take care of the ball. Gabriel Ascaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Marceau in the 20th minute of play. After some careless play in the FFC Merainies 03 defense, Adria Bielsa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu. The FFC Merainies 03 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu should have stopped the shot. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Rabellino in the 28th minute of the match. Gabriel Ascaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Pedro Montana in the 35th minute of play. If Adria Bielsa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Toledo in the 39th minute of the match. David Aranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé Pedro Montana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zé Pedro Montana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Ascaso having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Pedro Montana came free, but Gabriel Ascaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Adria Bielsa notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FFC Merainies 03's Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 66 minutes into the game, Łukasz Zwolinski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Gabriel Ascaso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Spain's Carles Cherro was substituted for Omar Toledo. Gabriel Ascaso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Pedro Montana's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. When Adria Bielsa came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Spain fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adria Bielsa couldn't finish the play. 74 minutes into the match, FFC Merainies 03's goal looked a bit too open when Adria Bielsa came free, but Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Pedro Montana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Gabriel Ascaso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FFC Merainies 03's Job Gasteren was substituted for Bruno Marceau. In the 79th minute, Zé Pedro Montana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FFC Merainies 03 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The audience was convinced that Zé Pedro Montana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabriel Ascaso was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Gabriel Ascaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Pedro Montana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute, Sergio Ruiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Despite being the better team, Spain failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
