Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henry Fagerberg in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Casper Claes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Henry Fagerberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Casper Claes was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Belgium's zone, Henry Fagerberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casper Claes came out of the goal and Henry Fagerberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rönnöfors FF's goalkeeper Magne Gunnarsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henry Fagerberg in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casper Claes saved Belgium from getting behind. Henry Fagerberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Magne Gunnarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 18th minute of play. If Per Stenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rönnöfors FF's Magne Gunnarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 21st minute of play. Magne Gunnarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yves Dervaux, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henry Fagerberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Casper Claes made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henry Fagerberg to make the kick off. Lenny Clocheret might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Magne Gunnarsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lenny Clocheret ran back to his position shaking his head. Sander Dermaut kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. When Edward Vanderstraeten came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Belgium fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Vanderstraeten couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Belgium defense, Per Tunström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Casper Claes. The Belgium fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Casper Claes should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Henry Fagerberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Casper Claes was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. 70 minutes into the game, Siebe Michiels was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Belgium's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rönnöfors FF the free kick. Siebe Michiels kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Rönnöfors FF's Sigvard Biörnberg was substituted for Olimpiu Mirciulescu. After 73 played minutes Rönnöfors FF got a freekick which was hit by Bertil Hellgren. Edward Vanderstraeten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Magne Gunnarsson having to make a save. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per Tunström, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Magne Gunnarsson made a huge save. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rönnöfors FF's goalkeeper Magne Gunnarsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 91st minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magne Gunnarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rönnöfors FF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edward Vanderstraeten was slow to take the kick. During this time Belgium's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Siebe Michiels almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rönnöfors FF's Magne Gunnarsson did a great save. 93 minutes into the game, Siebe Michiels lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Magne Gunnarsson. After 96 played minutes Rönnöfors FF got a freekick which was hit by Henry Fagerberg. Rönnöfors FF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
