One of Tadalinha FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Flinders:s goal. Didi Tavares had in the 5thth minute some difficulties stopping Everitt Goodward's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Elder de Andrade was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 11 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 15th minute, Vânderson Hoffmann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tadalinha FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Didi Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davey Haslem in the 19th minute of the match. Vânderson Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Brynn Staggard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Tadalinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eavan Missen came free, but Didi Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Didi Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundson Goodwin in the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Tadalinha FC's Vânderson Hoffmann dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Albertinho Vaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Didi Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davey Haslem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Flinders's Brynn Staggard got control of the ball when Vânderson Hoffmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 41st minute, Albertinho Vaz fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Brynn Staggard, passed just outside the right post. In the 43rd minute, Albertinho Vaz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tadalinha FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 47th minute of the match Everitt Goodward shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Didi Tavares showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eavan Missen to make the kick off. Flinders's Eavan Missen got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 54th minute Albertinho Vaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brynn Staggard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 minutes, Luís Fábio Meira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tadalinha FC and the Flinders players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luís Fábio Meira hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. If Vânderson Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Tadalinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Casper Obree came free, but Didi Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albertinho Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Vânderson Hoffmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tadalinha FC's Túlio Arce quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Darin Turnor, made in the 75th minute of the game. Flinders's Brynn Staggard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vânderson Hoffmann in the 76th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Flinders's zone, Vânderson Hoffmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brynn Staggard came out of the goal and Vânderson Hoffmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Didi Tavares made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Davey Haslem sent off a good shot on target. Brynn Staggard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albertinho Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute, Eavan Missen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Didi Tavares. The goal made the score 3-2. Tadalinha FC's Didi Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eavan Missen in the 94th minute of play.
