The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Takacs Tibor struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Joey Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. Joey Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute, Antal Valentin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joey Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 12 played minutes Cosa nostra Lyon got a freekick which was hit by Sébastien Roncin. Major Barna scored 0-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joey Costa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 20th match minute, Cosa nostra Lyon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steven Lebreton to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Balazs Lajos in the 21st minute of play forced Cosa nostra Lyon's goalkeeper Joey Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cosa nostra Lyon's Joey Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Balazs Lajos in the 23rd minute of play. Alex Lagarrigue fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. A collision led to Cosa nostra Lyon getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Sébastien Roncin hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cosa nostra Lyon's zone, Balazs Lajos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joey Costa came out of the goal and Balazs Lajos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Firmin Noury kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Antal Valentin might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joey Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antal Valentin ran back to his position shaking his head. 31 minutes into the game, Major Barna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Joey Costa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Major Barna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Antal Valentin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joey Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Major Barna might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joey Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Major Barna ran back to his position shaking his head. After 41 played minutes Cosa nostra Lyon got a freekick which was hit by Firmin Noury. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joey Costa having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Cosa nostra Lyon's goal looked a bit too open when Hegedus Henrik came free, but Joey Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Cosa nostra Lyon players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hungary were winning 0-4.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antal Valentin made a kick off. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joey Costa made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Major Barna sent off a good shot on target. In the 60th minute, Hungary's Antal Valentin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Joey Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 63rd minute of play. Joey Costa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Antal Valentin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 64 minute of play. Cosa nostra Lyon's Joey Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Cosa nostra Lyon from getting a goal against them. Major Barna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joey Costa having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Antal Valentin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joey Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hungary's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Balazs Lajos took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Joey Costa to make any attempt to save it. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joey Costa having to interfere. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Joey Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. The ball had pretty good speed, but Joey Costa firmly grabbed it by the left post. 94 minutes into the match, Takacs Tibor notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Cosa nostra Lyon's Joey Costa. Joey Costa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
