Bas Tuitert didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Krivé hnáty's Ádám Erdei sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnout Reekers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Grzegorz Szamotulski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Krivé hnáty's goalkeeper Grzegorz Szamotulski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Krivé hnáty's Grzegorz Szamotulski. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manilan Monterrey in the 38th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grzegorz Szamotulski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grzegorz Szamotulski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Manilan Monterrey made the kick off in the second half. When Fu Yong Ling fell near the penalty area in the 50th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Krivé hnáty's protests and gave Fu Yong Ling a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Krivé hnáty's Fu Yong Ling got a free kick in the 50th minute.
